Description
The COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 created an absolute nightmare for Supply Chain
management professionals worldwide. The immediate impacts of high levels of
employee absenteeism and factory closings may be behind us, but the aftershocks of
COVID-19 continue in the form of persistent shortages on some materials and bloated
inventories on others. Additionally social distancing and work from home has resulted in
lower levels of collaboration within and among organizations.
The course “Supply Chain Management in the Post COVID-19 Environment” presents
strategic and tactical initiatives to improve supply chain performance from three different
perspectives:
- Creating and managing supply chains that support competitive advantage
- Inventory management
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
