The objective of the Confined Space Training is to emphasize the rules and procedures for identifying, entering, working in, and exiting a confined space, including how to:
- Understand permit required confined space classification.
- Understand procedures for contractor confined space entry.
- Recognize atmospheric and physical hazards of confined spaces.
- Operate monitoring instrumentation.
- Operate extraction and safety equipment.
- Understand the declassification process.
- Know personnel responsibilities.
- Demonstrate the skills for safe performance of confined space entries.
- Establish employee proficiency for non-entry rescue.
