Sean McDonough has more than 35 years of experience in various roles in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. He began his career as an equipment and process engineer at Fairchild Semiconductor in South Portland, Maine where he focused on process improvement, and then moved into a quality engineering role in 1987 when he and his young family moved to Massachusetts. Over the next 25 years Sean assumed increasing responsibility, ultimately becoming Global Quality Director at Dow Electronic Materials. In 2014 he took on the role of Vice President of Global Operations (Manufacturing) for the Microcontamination Control division of Entegris Corporation. He did that work until the Spring of 2021 when he joined Quality Support Group. Sean credits his career growth to always taking a pragmatic approach to the implementation of quality practices that meet the needs of the business he is supporting.
Sean is a passionate advocate for showing how the robust implementation of a good quality strategy improves manufacturing performance and efficiency.
He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Maine in Orono.
Sean and his wife Louise have two sons and 4 grandchildren.
