Joe Feeney has 30 years of experience in various manufacturing roles including quality engineer, quality manager, operations manager, Lean Six Sigma manager, and general manager, for industries including healthcare, automotive, aerospace, electronics, packaging and consumer/industrial. This broad range of experiences has allowed Joe to develop highly adaptable and pragmatic skills that serve him and those he works with well.
Throughout his career, Joe has always focused on developing and driving improvements in organizations he serves by focusing on effective Quality Management Systems and Lean Six Sigma Programs. His QMS history dates all the way back to 1995 when he participated in the implementation of EN 46001, one of the earliest healthcare systems. Since then, he has implemented systems in numerous organizations including ISO 9001, QS9000, ISO 13485 and AS9100. Joe excels in the development and implementation of the technical components of quality engineering and LSS such as SPC, MSA, 8D, value stream mapping, 5S, SMED, process validation, DOE, Kaizen, Kanban, DMAIC and DMADV. He has provided his colleagues with training for many of these practices.
Although a long-time resident of San Diego, Joe hails originally from Galway in Ireland. He studied at the University of Galway, where he received a B.E. in Industrial Engineering and Information Systems and a Higher Diploma in Quality Management.
