Karen Mills is an accomplished Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with over 20 years of hands-on, practical experience applying continuous improvement techniques in manufacturing, medical devices, biopharmaceutical and transactional settings.
Karen has been responsible for working with the Senior Leadership teams of many different organizations and industries to develop Lean deployment roadmaps, deploy structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, and PDCA) throughout the entire value chain (design through to post sales) and deliver training to drive results. She has led many worldwide cross functional process improvements and initiatives to increase efficiency, cut costs, achieve objectives, and improve quality, and has facilitated over three dozen Kaizen events and other workshops which focused on value stream mapping, 5S, visual management, waste elimination, Kanban or layout improvements. Karen was one of the creators of the Yellow Belt program and trained and mentored hundreds of employees on their project related work.
Karen is PROSCI certified, and holds a Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Babson College.
