ESD Course Description - One Day Workshop

In order to maintain the product quality, ESD awareness is essential for everyone in your organization!

This course provides an understanding of basic ESD physics and the causes of static. It emphasizes the importance of protecting electronic components and assemblies from the danger of ESD damage. Various types of materials are identified and their effect on ESD sensitive components is explained. It covers those practices that should be avoided and those that help prevent ESD damage. The course covers personal grounding equipment, ESD safe work areas, packaging, transporting and storing ESD sensitive devices. It is geared toward people who work in assembly/manufacturing areas as well as the support and administrative staff in and around electronics assembly. Service and test technicians will also benefit from this basic information on proper techniques for ESD control.
