The ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard is designed for laboratories performing testing and calibration activities. General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories were updated and released May 15, 2005 to replace the 1999 edition. The standard was updated to include all the requirements of ISO 9001:2000, but the 1999 technical requirements have not changed.
